  • In-Service Certification of Pressure Vessels using SANAS Accredited Inspection Authorities

VACUUM BOX TESTING

With the restriction and limitations of pressure testing, due to the configuration and practicality, many standards call for vacuum box testing of the welded seams to determine the tightness of the equipment.

Visioneering Consulting has the capability to design and manufacture custom vacuum boxes to test any joint- or surface configuration.

Standard Vacuum Boxes:

  • Flat Vacuum Box to test the platework or welded lap joints
  • 90° Corner Vacuum Box to test the welded seam between two perpendicular planes
  • 3-Plate Corner Vacuum Box to test the welded seam between three intersecting planes.

Typical instances where Vacuum Box testing is preferred to Pressure Testing:

  • Non-removable cladded vessels or storage tanks
  • Open to atmosphere storage tanks or containers

GAS TESTING

  • Initial Gas Testing of Confined Space Atmospheres
  • Constant Gas Monitoring of Atmospheres during confined space activities
